297 years, entered into force on the first copyright law

1710 - England came into force on copyright law (adopted in 1709, the first in the world).
April 10, 1710 in England came into force, the Statute of Queen Anne - the first in the history of copyright law. According to him, the writer was able to sell the right to use his manuscript for 14 years, after which it is entitled to return to it, and he could sell it even for the same period.
This law has led to the rapid growth of book publishing, but also beneficial for periodicals. In France, the relevant ordinances were adopted much later - only in 1777. Still later, in 1828, copyright has come to Russia, where the transformation of books into a commodity prevented low literacy population.
Alexander Pushkin was the first to realize that “our age - the tradesmen, in this age of iron with no money and no freedom.” Pushkin was the first professional writer in Russia, lived with their work, sought from the publishers of decent pay for work of poets, writers, playwrights. The first poet of his literary royalties received in the southern link in the years 1820-1824. In 1824, for the poem “The Fountain of Bakhchisarai he received the first in Russian literature, a decent fee. Collection of poems was published in 1826. Since that time, his literary earnings were very significant.
