United Russia rose to defend the mayor of Moscow

The Conference of the Moscow regional branch of United Russia, yesterday asked the State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov, the requirement that the Ethics Commission has assessed the statements of Deputy Speaker Vladimir Zhirinovsky to the Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov and the Moscow city government. Sam, Yuri Luzhkov, speaking at the conference, said that "opponents of the election campaign was built on slander." Among these opponents he called "right-wing politicians Boris Nemtsov and Gozman, recalling that the Court soon will decide against them. According to him, representatives of the parliamentary opposition, having lost the election, "raised a howl." "We will not enter into a squabble. We will defend the party and each of the authorities by law," - he said.
