Ex-deputy director of the Office of Presidential Affairs of Russia might be going on 12 years in prison

The prosecutor requested a sentence of 12 years’ imprisonment of former Deputy Director of Accounting and Finance Center of the Presidential Affairs Minister Alexei Naumov. It is reported by ITAR-TASS referring to the head of the press service of the Moscow City Court Anna Usachev.

“In the debate on the criminal case prosecutor asked the court to recognize Naumova guilty of his alleged crimes and impose a sentence of imprisonment to be served in a maximum security”, - she specified. Reading of the verdict is scheduled for October 29.

According to investigators, Naumov, using his official position, tried by Settlement and Financial Center (now - Center for financial and legal affairs for the Office of the President) to repay debts incurred by companies controlled by him to the firm Altair Alpha Nefteprodukt to put their petrol. In addition, the investigation accuses the former bureaucrat in the laundering of these funds. Damage State Naumov damage estimated at nearly 25 million rubles.
